An Interview with Bill “Peg Pants” Beach
A few months ago, I played the 1956 rockabilly classic “Peg Pants” by Bill Beach on the show, and a couple of weeks later I received an email from Bill’s daughter Bonnie. She thanked me for playing her dad’s music and let me know that they had just discovered that he had been inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. We exchanged emails for a bit, and she arranged for me to interview her father.
Bill and I talked about his early days in country music, working with Skeeter Davis, recording “Peg Pants”, making the decision to put away his guitar to take care of family matters, and his recent return to writing and performing.
Check out Bill Beach’s page (with some great photos) on the Rockabilly Hall of Fame website.

Thank you very kindly Mr. Kehn for your comment. I remember your family from this past march. I think you had the tall boy with you and the three lovely girls. I wish you and your family all the best and I hope to see you again this spring.
And when you meet your maker, he’ll say…NO WAY, OJ!
Mr. Bill Beach
I first saw Mr. Beach at Stans in Goodlands Fl. in 1999 and I was hooked. He has been a legened in our annual family volleyball trip to Marco Island.
This past March 2010 after a five year absence we saw Mr.Beach at Stans. What a day. We got to speak to our legened and he made our day. He played “Viagra and the Beaper”. Our average day took off to a whrillwind of fun.
We got pictures and wobbled home. Bill Beach YOU ROCK. It was very nice to see you.
Next time we need to hear “I’d Love to Love your Clone” and “No Way OJ”.
A greatful aging volley ball player and fan.
